Brazil is the only team to have won the championship in four different continents; once in Europe (1958 Sweden), once in South America (1962 Chile), twice in North America (1970 Mexico and 1994 USA) and once in Asia (2002 S. Various nicknames of the Brazilian national team is known in different parts of the world.Selecao, which literally means the selection is the most common one used to refer them, in Brazil especially.

The team’s first team Football shirt colours were white with blue collars, but after their defeat in the 1950 World Cup, the colours were criticised for lacking patriotism. With permission from the Brazilian Sports Confederation, the newspaper Correio da Manhã held a competition to design a kit incorporating the four colours of the Brazilian flag. The winning design was a yellow jersey with green trim and blue shorts with white trim drawn by Aldyr Garcia Schlee, a nineteen year old from Pelotas.During the match against Chile in March 1954, the new Brazil shirts were first used and were still used till today.

Amazingly famous in any parts of the world is the Brazil national footbal team. By mentioning the term “football”, Brazil national football team will be the first to be remembered as team with full spirit in winning.

European Bids For 2018 Football Pick Up The Pace

Friday, December 10th, 2010

If you’re hoping 2018 will bring a summer of international Football to your backyard, you may be better off moving, if rumours circulating in Zurich, headquarters of Fifa, are to believed.

It’ll be Mortgages in Portugal for the Football hardcore if a note intercepted between the Spanish member Angel Villar Llona and Qatar member Mohamaed Bin Hammam is to be believed. The note, with the words ‘vamos a ganar’ (we are going to win), is being interpreted as proof of the two countries’ collusion over the two World Cup slots in 2018 and 2022: Qatar is said to be helping Spain/Portugal to winning the bid for 2018 in return for a leg up in their 2022 bid. Fifa however has dropped all promise of action over the supposed activity.

England’s bid is now viewed as being a distant outsider, with the Portuguese / Spanish bid and a Russian bid gaining rapid popularity. The English bid has suffered in the wake of newspaper investigations into Fifa conduct. Reporters posed as a party interested in bring the World Cup to the United States, and managed to catch the Nigerian and Tahitian members pledging votes in return for bribes.

Attempting to heal the supposed rift, David Cameron has been lobbying other world leaders at the G20 summit in Seoul. Mr Cameron intends to fly out to Zurich to speak with Fifa leaders. Time will be tight ahead of the December 2nd vote that will finally decide the hosts for 2018 and 2022 World Cups. Having already secured the 2012 Olympics, the United Kingdom sees hosting the World Cup as particularly appealing as it will be able to double up on the development of certain facilities.

Portugal’s partnership with Spain (which last hosted the World Cup in 1982), gives a freshness to the bid. With Spain as the current World Champions, their chances are looking especially good. Considering how likely it now seem that the World Cup will travel South for 2018, it’s unsuprising to see so many English people looking up the strange art of Portuguese property finance.

Is Football Coming Dwelling

Saturday, December 4th, 2010

The English soccer crew have managed to succeed in the quarter finals of the Fifa World Cup, will this lastly be the year that football comes back house for the primary time since 1966? Despite not taking part in their finest football, England are still within the tournament and will need to have a fantastic likelihood of lifting the trophy.

Some may say that I’m biased as I’m from England myself and am an avid England supporter, however I really really feel that 2006 could possibly be the 12 months for our boys out there in Germany. This may of course be all blown away on Saturday when the group face Portugal and large Phil Scolari. Scolari has been the supervisor of the final teams who’ve knocked England out of the final main tournaments and therefore will pose an enormous threat to my team. He was the manager of the Brazil crew that beat England in the 2002 World Cup and he was and nonetheless is the manager of the Portugal workforce that beat England in the 2004 European Championship. I’m hoping that it will likely be third time fortunate for the English this year.

To say that England are yet to peak is a bit of an understatement as they have in reality been nicely beneath par. This might nevertheless be fairly a good factor, what number of instances have Germany scraped by way of to the final levels of the match without thrilling the crowds?

With Wayne Rooney becoming stronger and fitter this needs to be one of the best alternative that England has had for fairly some time. There are numerous leaders and potential captains in the English team. Players like John Terry, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard would all make worthy captains when David Beckham decides to surrender this role. In addition to potential captains, these gamers are also what I name winners and when push involves shove hopefully will ship the goods.

Argentina, Brazil and Germany could prove to be the biggest risks to England. After a gradual begin Ronaldo appears to have found his scoring boots again and the Brazil staff has some nice gamers all around the park. I’ve to say that I get fairly bored of them profitable nonetheless, absolutely its the flip of England this time around.

Germany have performed some nice football on their house turf and appear to increase a head of steam. They could show quite troublesome to cease and always seem to do well within the World Cup.

Many people would argue that Argentina have probably performed the most effective soccer to date and that they’re worthy favourites. I must agree with this and simply hope that they’ve peaked too soon.

It certainly would be an awesome summer in England if our workforce can convey soccer home to where it belongs this year. Good luck England.

Italy’s Soccer Future

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

Italian Marcelo Lippi has faced a number of soccer pundit jokes this season due to the age of his team.  The team is very likely to be fairly new by the Brazilian World Cup, when athletes such as 32 year-old Gianluigi Buffon, 36 year-old Fabio Cannavaro, 32 year-old Gennaro Gattuso, and other players like Andrea Pirlo (31), Gianluca Zambrotta (33), Vincenzo Iaquinta (30), Mauro Camoranesi (33), and Antonio Di Natale (32) are sure to be gone from the team.  Who will Lippi or his successor choose to replace the team?

Lorenzo De Silvestri    Defender     (Fiorentina)    Aged 22
De Silvestri, a former full back for Lazio, is slightly over six feet tall.  After a 2009 move to Fiorentina, De Silvestri has exemplified the form that set him apart whilst playing for Italy’s U16 and U21 teams. A marauding, powerful full back, he gets forward well and looks to be a possible long term replacement for Gianluca Zambrotta in the national team.

Davide Santon        Defender    (Inter)        Aged 19
Able to play down either flank, Santon is a hugely talented young defender who made 28 appearances for Inter this season as well as five appearances already for the Azzuri. Santon’s energy is boundless; his energy on the pitch has earned him a comparison to Paolo Maldini by Italian head coach Marcelo Lippi. We can expect to see the immensely talented Santon in the Italy’s next few squads for major finals events.

Mario Balotelli        (Striker)    (Inter)        Aged 19
Although Mario Balotelli can be quick to anger and temperamental, his skill as an attack and winger has given Italy hope for a strong squad when he starts wearing the Italy jersey.  Despite his tender years and numerous run ins with fans and management at Inter, Balotelli has scored an impressive 20 goals in 59 games and has notched 6 in 16 for the Italian U21 side. His time will surely come in the Euro 2012 qualifiers when Italy are going to need a new look strike force.

Federico Macheda    (Striker)    (Man Utd)    Aged 18
Although he has yet to make the first team on a regular basis at Old Trafford, the signs are promising that Manchester United’s talented striker could have a big 2010-2011 season and perhaps even force his way into the thoughts of the Azzuri management team. The striker’s strength and intelligence make him a force to be reckoned with, especially in terms of goal scoring. His particular talent is scoring with his back to the goal, and he has been capped at U21 for Italy; if Macheda makes a difference in the first team for United, he should end up with a spot on the Italian national squad.

Antonio Candreva    (Midfielder)    Udinese    Aged 23
Finding a replacement for Andrea Pirlo may be the Italian sides greatest challenge in the next few years and one possible replacement could be Candreva. The Udinese midfielder, who is being touted as making his loan move during last season to Juventus more permanent, is versatile enough to play anywhere in midfield but seems to excel in the holding, creative role so favoured by Pirlo.

Has The Internet Made Our World Cup Better?

Spain vs Germany 2010

During last nights semi final game featuring the current european champions Spain vs Germany who have just got better throughout the tournament, I decided to watch this imprtant game with my spanish relative who was not only excited about the game but who clearly thought he was actually there in the South Africa amongst the crowd.

At the half time break the score was still an agonising 0-0 and during the tv adverts there was a constant push for Internet Marketing of the world cup where so much information is accessible online these days, for example if you had missed any of the previous games you were able to watch them on the internet, being able to view all the live match statistics as well as join an online forum to discuss your own thoughts and post your own comments.

The world cup in South Africa has been such a hit and boost for the countries economy, especially due to the large increase in tourism during the football.

I cannot imagine how online businesses, not just in South Africa, but worldwide have increased the Search Engine Optimisation on there sites to gain sales and further business, especailly anyone selling those noisy trumpets also known as a vuvuzela which I saw being sold in a local supermarket, as if hearing them on the tv isnt bad enough!

I had a friend who flew down to Durban to visit his mother and watch the Spain vs Switzerland game during his visit, I did mention to him that from what I saw on the television it was the most spectacular stadium I had ever seen, more so than I have ever seen over here in the U.K.

My friend predicts that the Netherlands are in for winning the world cup, because he has holland in the sweepstake at the Ecommerce website design business he works at.

Some of the football sites also have some fantastic web design too!
